Follow-Up: Learnings from PlugFest and Task Force Specification

Dear Simon, I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to share the learnings we documented during today’s PlugFest — please find the attached PDF for your reference. Given your interest in protocol testing and interoperability, I thought this might be of particular relevance to you. Additionally, this email extends the one I sent earlier with the task force specifications. The PlugFest was an invaluable experience for me. Testing in a collaborative environment provided far greater insights than working on the code alone. I feel I now have a much clearer understanding of both the WebSub protocol and MQTT. It was especially rewarding to see our implementation working successfully (“Erfolgserlebnisse”), and I really enjoyed helping classmates by explaining how they could achieve similar results. Also, a big thanks for organizing the food and drinks — especially my favorite El Tony Mate & Ginger. It was a perfect boost to stay awake and focused throughout the evening! Kind regards, Joshua

Dear Simon, Only I will be joining the plugfest of group 5-2. Rivella sounds good to me, thanks a lot. Regarding HTTP/REST our code is work in progress. The following features are done: getAuction, getAllCurrentAuctions, NotifyAuction. The rest is ongoing. MQTT and W3C WebSub isn't ready yet. We ended up a little behind/late on implementation due to the overwhelming amount of assignments by other courses. In addition to that, the task force document specifying the uniform API standard was published only recently. Best regards, Niklas
